Boogie Woogie BRAINS

So it's been pretty crazy around the arms household - i have been so busy with my photography side job i dont have time for much else after trying to be a full time legal assistant, a mother to 2 who keep me incredibly busy and then on top of all that i still have to be a wife of SOME SORT! lol yea i have like 2 maybe 3 wifely duties that i have to keep up with.

here are the kids on easter... pardon the "cracked out" crazy messy mouths - they had chocolate for breakfast! LOL HEY DONT JUDGE ME! it was Easter damn it!

Kay is getting to big turned 18 months on Friday the 13th, the older she gets the more her little personality shows and i tell ya she has got a little "MEAN GIRL" attitude. It's just been here recently so i think she having a growth spurt or just testing the boundaries.
Currently her favorite things to play with: SHOES and she says "she-ewws"
funny word is "KEY-KACK" that'd be Kitty Cat.
FAVORITE word is NO... and she says it often in her little sassy pants style. no no and shakes her head to reiterate! lol
Her teachers tell me how smart she is and her and one other girl in her class are already talking so well that you can carry on a conversation with them.
She does sign language also - she says more and please all the time. it's pretty cute when she thinks your not paying attention to her and as soon as she gets a glimpse of you getting ready to look at her she is swiping her chest with her hand - saying MORE MORE

BRAT!

Tre is less than a week from turning 5.. yep, i said it, FIVE!! Only 4 short months from starting REAL school and im sure that's just a whole other adventure in its self. I haven't considered him a "baby" for a long time but this whole starting school thing is really pushing my "baby button" he is just so "grown" now and its awesome at the same time as scary that he is getting ready to start school because he is very intelligent and i know he is going to ROCK it out but it's just the feeling of putting your child "out into the world" i know it's school but there are more choices and decisions he will be able to make for him self and it may sound bad but im just not sure he is will make the right choices! We have been having some issues about his decision making skills here recently so im sure the i am glad we have already had our second and final child because i would REALLY be having some baby fever right now.

I recently did some newborn shoots for my photography business and OH MY GOODNESS.... how i LOVE a new fresh baby! the tiny, squishy, warm little bodies, the newborn smell, the velvety skin the teeny tiny little toes and fingers... SWOON! <3
These types of shoots make my ovaries ache... lol i know that's a super weird thing to say but baby fever is nothing to play with. but LIKE I SAID... Kay is our final child... no more, we're DOOOONE MAN... just like those dishes (old school peeps should know what im talking about HINT: "Don't tell mom the babysitters dead")

Mark and i have been trying to work out as much as possible since December... i am pretty sure i have lost somewhere around 5 pounds or something but i know im losing inches because my pants are all fitting a little looser than they use to.

It's an everyday routine, since Tre started Karate too... I wake up, get the kids together, they go to school, i go to work, i work all day, pick the kids up, get home around 530 or so to a husband who is ready to go, i get my gym clothes on while mark gives the kids a snack, we run to the gym and by run i mean we drive! lol in time for my 6pm class, we work out for and hour and a half while the kids play on the playground/kid sitting area and then we go home and eat, take baths and go to bed.

This was the routine monday thru friday - mon, wed and fri for my classes then tues and thurs for tre's karate... ahhh the things we do for our children. But he moved up so fast in his karate class that he is already in the next class up which starts at 645 instead of six so on tues and thurs we get a little break and can eat BEFORE we go to the gym... that IS if Tre even wants to go. For a couple weeks he hasn't wanted to go he would rather play outside with his daddy... which i totally get because the weather is getting nice and it's time to be outside... maybe we'll just keep karate a winter sport. idk.  :o)

Anyway - life is good and yay for that... i hope to update more often but with things going like they have been.. idk. Im sure all FIVE of my readers are going to be terribly upset. :P

Top 11 of 2011

Click It Up A Notch

The following photos are of my family - these are the top 11 of my favs.

11. The first photo i took of my little boy that i felt had professional quality. Obviously it's "over edited" but i was just starting out and well... i dont have to explain how NEW photogs can get when getting use to editing and learning new skills.

10. my family SOOC- taken at Red River Gorge - Mark and I use to make several trips a year to this area and do primitive camping, until we "almost died" while camping one memorial weekend - then we had kids!

9. SOOC - i love this photo for the expression on his face, we were at the KY State fair and dad just won him this HUGEMONGOUS sword and he thought it was the coolest thing in the world, for a moment!

8. My babies SOOC, they were both in Cousin Stephanies wedding at Hubers in Indiana and they were just looking too darn cute and i had to snap a few photos of them all fancied up. They do a good job posing and ROCKED it out for the Photogs doing the wedding.

7. SOOC -The day after Thanksgiving, while getting our Christmas decor out, all Tre could talk or think about was our OVERSIZED santa hat it's about 7ft long. He was so happy when we finally got to it he ran around like a crazy man for 20 minutes after we found it.

6. SOOC- Tre at his finest... playing!! Love the expression on his face because you KNOW he is having a good time. I mean seriously, would you even have to ASK if he is having the time of his life?

5. My first mini session with my baby girl - she is 10 months old in this photo and it was the first time i really took a moment with my brand new "professional" camera and made some great photos of my baby girl. at this point, i still had no clue what i was doing with it, i was just pushing the button and hoping for the best. they turned out pretty good but i love the reaching for me that she is doing here.

4. The very first day i brought my new camera home... taking pictures of this one is like cat n mouse, you have to bribe or it's not going to work. but he must have known i NEEDED to shoot because he did really good and let me take at least 12 photos that day. i love this one because you can see his long lashes and for some drama i went with a black and white conversion.

3. My beautiful baby girl on Christmas day - this pic is a fav because she just looks so dang on BIG *cries*

2. SOOC- I believe this is the first family photo we have of us after the one that was taken in the hospital - this is me n my family on Kaylins special day. Being baptized!

1. Its interesting that i call myself a photographer and i find myself anxious at the thought of a "session" with my own kids. i can run and play and be totally understanding when clients children run and don't want to sit still, i have NO PROBLEM chasing and playing and making a game out of it. But when it comes to my OWN children... i have NO PATIENCE and it just seems like so much work. Maybe because i have to be the parent AND the photographer i dont know what the reasons are but i wish i could figure it out because being the beaming proud momma that i am i feel like i have the cutest kids in the world of course and they should be shot... LOL love the play on words but i mean shot with a camera :o)

They are so funny!

Couple of days ago i am in the morning routine, trying to get Tre out of his bed to get his clothes on so i can get sister dressed and we can be on our way. he is giving me trouble, because he doesn't want to go to school and he wants to stay home and he wont get out of bed and get his clothes on he just keeps laying there. so i figured I'd go get sister out of her bed who is over there just sitting in her bed like a good girl. i walk over too her and when i reach down to pick her up she grabs her blanket and covers up with it as she is throwing herself on her pillow like, 'i don't want to get up' JUST LIKE BROTHER!! omg the two of them crack me up - mark and i being only children growing up really had/have no clue what sibling interaction is like or suppose to be but every time i see them interact and enjoy each others company it does the following:
1. makes me melt
2. makes me jealous that i didn't have a brother growing up lol of course that is a normal reaction because i have only child syndrome "everything is about me" haha

i mean... look at that picture - how stinkin cute are they? This was taking this weekend trying to pull together a Christmas card photo that we can give to people... it didnt work too well. it was cold even tho the sun was out and kay was tired and had been fighting naps all day and tre was crazy cracked out on (smh) i have NO CLUE what he was cracked about but yeah it was a total of 10 minutes of chaos! lol Tripod set up marked the spot with a golf ball and how awesome, they totally move out of the spot when they all come outside so i have to reset and refocus and kaylin is getting cranky and lol it was pretty much FUNNY! im sure that if the neighbors were watching us they were laughing too. but regardless of all that it really doesn't get any cuter than the two of them!! Those are my babies right there... your looking at the reason i call myself mommy and the whole purpose of my life. LOVE!

Kid Pics updates

I know it has been a crazy long time between updates here... my apologies. i have been super busy with the new photography business and of course the (now) 10 month old that is crawling around begging for everyone within a 30 foot range to give her attention. She has been crawling for a while now, getting around great. She crawls with EXUBERANCE now her hands and knees slapping so hard on the hardwood floor, she definitely turns heads! ha

she waves hi and bye bye and if it's late and she is getting sleepy and wants to go to bed... if you tell her it's BED TIME and are you ready to go NITE NITE she stops what she is doing and sticks her little hand in the air and waves like... "yep, im ready for bed, bye bye"

the best thing about her right now is picking her up from daycare. when i peek in and she sees me she gets so excited!! if she is sitting she will take all four extremities and move them rapidly up and down like she is saying omg omg mom is here of course she gives me that big ol' baby girl smile that i crave and will crawl over to the door and if someone doesn't get her and give her to me... she starts getting attitude!

speaking of attitude... i was holding her last night trying to get her to be quiet so i could process some photos i had taken in a few sessions this past weekend. she would start getting tiffy so i would give her the paci, she would then be fine. so every now and then she would take it out of her mouth and start huffin and puffin so i would put it back in. LMAO last night she was sitting there whining so i put her paci in her mouth and she took it out and threw it on the ground.. i looked at her like she was CRAZY and picked it up and put it right back in her mouth and the little shitass did it again, like, i dont want it! lol so i smacked her hand and told her NO and she turned her head to stare me down! with her little crinkled eyebrows... those SASSY BROWS are gonna get her in trouble! lol i KNOW when your giving me attitude lil girl! ha

i got a new camera!! DSLR NIKON D7000 with a 18-105mm lens... i HEART it!~

all of the photos above were taken with my 3rd child. i am so excited to shoot with that thing... its so awesome. i love the images that it produces... ahhh im in heaven... where did this expensive camera come from, you may ask... and my answer is... my boss! YES... from my WORK, my boss purchased me a camera to do what i love most... isn't he awesome!!?!? oh my gosh i could have cried when he gave it to me... i was like a child on Christmas morning ready to open the box and play! i have been snapping off shots of everything in my path since! LOVE IT! i am learning how to shoot in manual mode so MOST of the time it's in aperture priority but when i get a person that will sit still in front of me.. it's ON!

till next time

i heart faces challenge - Best March Face

this is the best face from March because 1. it's my son, 2. he NEVER lets me take his picture. TWICE this month he actually let me take his photos without absolute protest... oh my goodness, my hearts all a FLUTTER because i think that maybe, JUST MAYBE!!!; we might be out of the "I DONT WANT MY PICTURE TAKEN" i think since his baby sister was born and i have been ok with not taking his picture because if he doesn't cooperate, well there is always sister! HA! so maybe he is willing to be my little model again! either way i LOVE this picture and so glad i was able to capture it!

Ho Ho HOOOO

During the last week of my maternity leave we decided to take the babies to go see Santa Claus at the bass pro shop over in Indiana, they give free pictures and the Santa is pretty awesome as he actually takes time to discuss with the kids what they would like for Christmas and if they have been good, even asking moms and dads what they would like etc.

So we go the week of thanksgiving... me not even THINKING about the fact that the kids were already out of school for the Holiday break or whatever and the line was pretty long, HOWEVER it wasn't as long as it was about 30 minutes after we had been standing there, it started to wrap around the whole first level of the store! CRAZY

While waiting in line Mark and i would take turns standing in line with Kaylin who was eating on a bottle for most the time and taking Tre to go look around the store at all the cool things around Santa's wonderland. We made a Santa head out of a fishing bobber, he turned out pretty cool so i kept him in my car for some Christmas cheer when i drive! :o)

So after a little bit of a wait, that wasn't as torturous as previously expected, we get up there and it's our turn. We let Tre walk up there himself and he wasn't scared a bit, walked right up and sat on his lap like he had been knowing him forever. We gave Santa Kaylin to hold and took the picture, after the picture Santa was talking to us and i noticed that Tre's mouth was kinda hanging open like he was in awe. i also noticed that he was rubbing Santa's fur on this coat like it was my hair, that could have been because it was a little late and he was tired or it could have been just because he was soft. but i asked Tre if he told Santa what he wanted for Christmas and Tre said no, i said well tell him.

Santa: What would like for Christmas?

Tre: *mouth hanging open* just looked at him. - HE FROZE!

Santa: Would you like a train set

Tre: *mouth hanging open* nodded yes, like THAT was what he wanted. lol

he was looking at him like i would like at Justin Timberlake (i LOVE me some of that man) if i was ever in his presence! he was STAR STRUCK!

Mommy: no you don't Tre, remember what you want Santa to bring you for Christmas?

Tre: *mouth hanging open* uh huh...

it was like the scene straight out of a Christmas Story... friggin hilarious!!

Daddy whispered in his ear then Tre FINALLY came out with it that he wanted a Stinky the Garbage Truck.

FINALLY - whew i was thinking for a minute that Tre wasn't going to talk LOL but he did and he got to tell Santa what he wanted which was great.

Then Santa asked me what i wanted for Christmas and i told him i just wanted my kids to have a great Christmas and he said, "how bout some sleep? i bet that would be nice huh?" lol and you know something.. i think i believe in Santa Claus again because he knew just the RIGHT thing for me! :o)

I LOVE Pumpkin Pie

Yesterday while feeling in the spirit of Christmas - i turned on my radio in my car to the channel that is ALL CHRISTMAS MUSIC all the time, until after Christmas!! i love this channel during the holidays - it's awesome to hear all that music to get ya in the mood!
so anyway - we are all in the car (me and the kids that is, cause the four of us in the rio isn't comfortable) i turned on the Christmas music and Home for the Holidays was on - "i met a man who lives in TN and he was headed for Pennsylvania and some home made pumpkin pie" and from the back seat i heard... "I LOOOOOVE PUMPKIN PIE" lol timing is everything kid! your awesome... but really...you've NEVER even HAD pumpkin pie! LMAO he is soo freaking funny sometimes... i love it!
every time i hear pumpkin pie now i think of that... and just about every time he hears it he says... I LOOOOVE PUMPKIN PIE!

SILLY BOY!
here are some pics for PROOF!

Kaylin has been smiling and being social for the past couple of weeks - she loves attention and knows how to get it... so cute to hear her little noises and look down to find her just CHEESING away at ya trying her bestest to get you to look at her... she is awesome!
Momma's SWEET pumpkin pie!

I LOVE MY BABIES SO MUCH... i am so GLAD Mark talked me into having 2! ;o) (never thought it'd be ME with two kids!)

It's the last week....

i am guessing, in light of the facts that were put upon me last week at my 37th week check up - where i had lost YET ANOTHER pound, down to 149 and i was 2 cm dilated and still only 50% effaced, my doc also reaffirmed that i would NOT go past 40 weeks with having gestational diabetes.
So not this week but next weeks appointment is probably going to be the deciding factor of when he plans to induce if lil miss hasn't decided to show her pretty little face by then and all is still going as well as it has been previously.

so i am going to go ahead and assume if little miss kaylin doesn't make her debut this week - this will be the
LAST FULL WEEK AS A FAMILY OF THREE!!!

Gone will be the days of the husband and i waking up to only the most handsomest smile a person could see on a lazy Saturday morning.

Gone are the morning car rides to school where Tre would like to talk my head off whilst i drive in a sleepy fog to get us there on time.

Gone are the days where Tre has me all to his self.

Gone are the days that Tre is an ONLY CHILD!

Gone are the days where the boys go play and momma can have some peace and quiet!

but most of all....

Gone are the days where i had one heart and one little boy held it in his hand so perfectly!

it's time to move on... its time for my heart that is already so big and full of love to grow that much more, so that this little girl that is about to come into the world can latch on to it!

So here i am one heart... one hand - not even being able to finish this post without hot tears streaming down my face!

I'm so ready to meet my little girl the love and emotions are just BUSTING out of me. I can't wait to hold her in my arms and i can't wait for Tre to meet her and see her for the first time! i will probably be a blubbering MESS (as i am now) when he comes up to the hospital for the first time to see her.

i can't wait to see sibling interaction and see how much Love they have for each other and the bond that they will have that mark and i both never had while growing up. This is the ONE thing that we can provide our child with that we never had a chance to get - A SIBLING TO GROW UP WITH! :o)

ARMS FAMILY OF FOUR.... HERE WE COME!!!!!

oh and some pictures of yesterday - a friend came over and Tre got to practice holding a baby - he loves babies and did a pretty good job too! Victoria seemed happy while he was holding her so that's good. and of course he wanted to hold her MORE! lol im sure this holding of baby will wear off when he gets his own.

*** note the foot on the bottom of child so i would know if he was trying to fall off the couch! lol multi taskin in my sleep even!

even tho these new days are super tiresome... i so can't wait to meet my baby girl.. to hold, kiss, and just stare at her for hours on end!

From Tre's Mouth.

Talking about School and how much his old teacher Ms Rose luvs Tre and how much Tre loves ms rose
i said: "Ms Rose sure LUUUVS her some Tre..."
to which tre replied: "Him SUUUURE luv her candy box!"
LOL

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

While sick with a fever and off from school Tre came to work with me last week.
when looking at a Monet painting hanging on the wall here at work Tre said... "look! little Einsteins. with the worm"
i guess that same painting was on an episode of the little Einsteins - he is so smart! only thing better would have been if he said the name of the painting! my little GEENIE-US haha
OH and speaking of our little SMARTY PANTS...
everytime we come up on a stop sign he says
"look mom another octogon says STOP!"

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
new favorite movie: Transformers 2 but he calls it "Transformis"
I polled my facebook friends and asked if it was bad parenting that my 3 year old likes this movie and i let him watch it, it's kinda violent!
at least 5 people reassured me that their kids were into something of the same type of movie or game so i didnt feel as bad afterward.
lol i still feel it's a little violent for him.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

He calls Pre-School "Prayschool" lol
i LOVE when he says it.
"mommy i can go to prayschool tomorrow?"
followed by - "who dat gonna pick me up?"
he longs for his nana to come pick him up from school but always smiles and grabs my hair when i say "i am" frequently followed by "MOMMA I LOVE YOU" he such a freaking SWEETIE!!

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Talking about Kaylin getting big in my belly and when she is going to come out.

Tre says:
"HIM GOING TO BREAK YOU"

i repeat what he said to me like i didnt understand and he said it again
with big hand gesture toward my belly
"HIM GOING TO BREAK YOU BELLY"
lol
"OHHH so you think she is going to break mommys belly when she comes out?" "yeah" he said...
so i told him not to worry that she will not break mommy when she comes out. lol i love how kids minds work.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

and for the past couple of weeks, he keeps talking about santa claus already! "Santa Clause gonna bring me Iron Man"
im like i really wish i knew what KIND of iron man he is talking about...
it'd make it a little easier on SANTA CLAUS, no?
:o)
well that's all i have for now... im sure there will be MORE TO COME especially when his sister comes!

Embrace the Camera

Tre and i doing our morning drive to school. (his first day of "Pre-School")

UPDATE on the 1st day:

when i walked in to pick him up his teacher said he had a good day right up until i first walked in, he and another boy just got into over a toy car - but she said as far as listening and following instructions of his new class he did great and she was very impressed at how well he did for his age on writing his numbers and letters. he wrote the upper case and lower case letter "B" all by his self and i'm like... WOW didn't know my lil booger could write. i knew he could write his name sorta but the paper work that i seen yesterday from school was great!

there was another worksheet where he traced the number 2 and it was pretty good to - so i was super proud momma last night beaming with pride at how smart my little boy is and the awesome thing... he is STILL excited about getting to go to "preyschool" lol i love how he says it.

we walked in this morning and his buddy Chase walked up and said YAY TRES HERE.. and gave him a big hug. SO SWEET!

so i am very pleased with the preschool program that my daycare has going, his teacher is a "real" teacher with a degree and even with the rate hike, my husband and i talked about it and we feel that his education is worth the extra money we will be spending.
